The Senior Financial Analyst is a senior/lead level position. You will conduct independent technical/specialized accounting-based research and complex analytical projects involving complex computer modeling/forecasting to provide top management with definitive financial/trend data and advice for their use in setting and realizing profit objectives. You will do budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning. You are responsible for project design, development, implementation, maintenance and completion.

You are considered technically authoritative with one or more types of financial analyses, computer models, and/or product line's financial data. Job duties typically include overseeing the work of others involving participation in the performance review process, identifying training needs and providing day-to-day oversight of routine activities. Other ad hoc projects will be assigned to this position as needed.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field required; MBA, CPA, or CMA is preferred. Will also consider MIS degrees with banking experience.
• 4 years of progressively responsible work experience in financial analyses and 2 years in a "lead" or supervisory capacity required
• Must have 4 years of experience doing financial analyses within a banking institution or Commercial Real Estate Group.
• Position will analyze processes from start to finish determining key areas to be managed.
• Heavy data mining will be involved in this position. The systems utilized will be Promerit, TCL, Strategy, and Business Objects.
• Perform trend analyses on productivity with specific groups.
• Understanding of banking and finance - particularly the financial system bank processes is highly preferred.
• Must collect information and determine accuracy
• Financial Banking Background highly preferred - will look at experience that dealt with high volume such as credit card or consumer loans.
• Must possess great interpersonal skills. Must have strong customer service skills.
• Must be able to independently plan and conduct non-routine financial analysis/reporting projects and consult effectively on highly technical projects
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Access.
• Must possess PC skills with Microsoft products such as Access, Word and Powerpoint
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, problem solving and analytical skills required
